Scanning flowers is so fun. I had never tried it until I read a post at French Kiss Textures. She fashioned a box painted black, but I just laid black material over the flower. Since if you just left the lid open, there would be too much light so you have to use something for a dark background. So, here are some that I scanned. The first are Gerbera and Lilies from in my flower garden, and the others are Roses and Hydrangea that graced the tables at my daughter’s wedding.
Would love to hear from you if you give scanning a try.

Wow.. I love your newest discovery… neat!
Hi Mother Hen…thank you. Hope you’re having/had a great Summer as soon we’ll be heading into Fall. This was so fun to do. Found it at French Kiss Textures tutorial. 🙂
Hi Peabea! It’s been an interesting one.. Heat wise, not too bad, although not pleasant on the really hot ones. We changed our minds about moving, or rather God changed our minds.. I am not sure if I told you are not. I look forward to fall, that for sure..
Well, isn’t that fun?! I love the contrast and effect with the hydrangea! it’s almost in a heart shape. xoxo
