My Zinnia seedlings finally bloomed. Been trying my hand at drying flowers again. I use to all the time, and since I’m doing the Postcrossing, I thought a dried flower would be a nice addition to any postcard sent. However, this Summer my garden is kind of sparse ~ more full of weeds than blooms it seems. Summer gets ahead of me and by August, I admit I get a lot lazy about pulling weeds.

Below are some Bachelor Buttons and couple Zinnia that I’ve dried already.

Love From The Son

After a divorce our son had to move back home for a bit. While here, he purchased bulbs and planted these Lilies. They have multiplied over the years and are getting so tall. Every Spring it is a delight to watch them finally open up to reveal their amazingly beautiful red color. He couldn’t have picked a better color as it is one of my favorites. That son has since remarried and moved to California, but my eyes love looking at him through these flowers each year. I miss him, but what a great reminder of the wonderful man (son) he has turned out to be. Such a loving heart.

I did transplant some of the bulbs early this Spring and was glad to see they have also made it and are blooming.

Petunias for Mama

Sharing with Floral Love a picture of this gorgeous planter of Petunias that my oldest son and family brought me on Mother’s Day among other presents. I used one of Mona’s textures ~ 04 Angelic Aqua and applied the picture on top of it rather than blending since I thought it made a great frame.

Dahlia Droplets

Sharing ~ over at Floral Love ~ a photo of one of my favorite flowers from my garden a few Summer’s ago ‘The Dahlia’ .  This photo I’m sharing is straight out of camera..no texturizing. I just loved how it turned out with the water droplets adding to the loveliness of the flower. (and as always if you click on the picture you’ll get a better view of the photo)

Love how hardy the Dahlia is plus the fact you can save the bulbs to replant the next year.
