So she searches for light, only to realize it’s in her,
like an ember equipped to ignite.
Jessica Sorensen
Like the embers that catch one to another to become a full flame, people do the same when we interact with one another. Smiles, happy moods, friendliness, etc. all help to fuel the spirit of good will to others. We can also do the opposite with words that hurt or anger. Be the flame that ignites and spreads good vibes.
Sharing with Sparks: an each Monday blog hop to share positive thoughts and uplifting quotes, poems or verses.
Also sharing with Pictorial Tuesday: A blog hop for sharing photography, photo art, or photo shopped graphics.
Thanks for visiting. Enjoy seeing all visitors to my blog. Leave some love with a comment…always appreciated, and always read.

Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones
The frost came, the last of the hanging on flowers have since wilted and are finishing dying as we type. 🙂 There are a few leaves hanging on yet to the trees. We’ve had to clear the gutter spouts a few times, but mostly, it’s almost over. The loveliness of Fall colors is fading. Today and tomorrow, we will still be blessed with warm temperatures, but the forecast is for rain and possibly a bit snow mixture and colder weather so the last hangers on will blow away with those winds. Then it will be the time of year with the pretty Fall colors gone but yet the winter has not arrived in full force with the beautiful white colorings. But meanwhile, we have a wonderful Thanksgiving to enjoy and bring to mind the many things we are thankful for, and then there’s Christmas shopping, yay!! Pretty colorful lights everywhere you drive.
As we head into the holiday season, have a wonderful Thanksgiving. As my children have aged, have children of their own, family obligations to their significant others at the holidays as well as to hubby and me, the Thanksgiving dinner has dwindled. So there may be haters of the holiday shopping, but as I won’t have family at my dinner table this year, it is a new tradition for me. I’m going pre-Black Friday and Black Friday shopping. Hubby and I will eat something small or perhaps just go out somewhere. In my defense of the pre-Holiday shopping, I’m now 70, and I’ve cooked Thanksgiving dinner for his family, my parents, my children, and even their family when they married since I was 28, so I really am tired of the cooking, and as I worked also in those years, I never did the Black Friday shopping. I was too exhausted. haha
Oh, and I might add that Thanksgiving Day is our 53 year wedding anniversary. It doesn’t always fall on Thanksgiving, but in retrospect it somehow gets meshed in there and no celebration really so not sure why we ever picked the 24th of November.
So, I’m wishing everyone Thanksgiving Blessings, lots of Turkey or whatever you share to eat, restful naps afterward, and lots of family hugs.
I cannot believe it is already heading to Thanksgiving and the end of the month. It just started.

I was so glad to see this Monarch Butterfly stopping for some livelihood. Monarchs have been scarce around here lately so was fun to see their return, and I’ll hate to see them go when the winter months arrive.

Sharing one of my painted textures. I used this one behind the butterfly picture above. You can download it HERE without my logo. I hope you enjoy using it.
Would love to see how you use it in one of your photos by linking up with Pictorial Friday.
Note: the ribbon on my framed photo is from French Kiss Collections. She makes lovely textures and other items. If you subscribe, she does have some freebies.
Our son and daughter-in-law took us out on their boat for a ride on a beautiful, fall-like day. The air was warm, and just breezy enough. So naturally, I had to take along my camera.
The leaves are just beginning to turn so got couple shots of the trees around the reservoir.Â
Then they treated me and hubby to lunch. Best kind of day when can spend it with the kids. 🙂
The photos, the only touch up that I did was to enhance them some in the Adobe Photoshop program. I use Elements 12.
Look forward to your sharing of some of the fun photography you took this week or just whenever. Always fun to see what others are shooting.

My Fall Leaf Frame…
Sharing a Leaf Clipping Mask that you add a picture too and use as is or add to a photo or however you choose. I created it in Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 from a photo of a leaf, but should be able to use in other versions of Adobe and hopefully other programs.
The download is HERE
Just add your photo and then drag it below the leaf frame layer and it should automatically be displayed under the leaf cutout. Enjoy, and I would love to have you share in comments or on your linkup how you used this, but if not, that’s okay too. You can use however you like, credit given would be nice, but not necessary.
Below is example of how I used the leaf:
Most already know how to do a clipping mask, but thought I’d share below an example for those that are new to clipping masks.

A flower and a weed. Each is essential to nature. One to the Bee world and one to the Butterfly.
Welcome to Pictorial Friday where I hope you will join me in sharing your photography each Friday, and along the way visiting and make some photography friends.
So each Friday, I’m hosting a linky party to share your photos and mine. 🙂 I love photography and always have since a child. To me, it’s a great way to capture and view things that might be missed with the naked eye, and also to preserve memories.
This week I’m sharing a couple photos that are straight out of my Nikon D3100 Camera.
You’re next so just click on the little frog button to join the link up party.
Free texture below for you: I didn’t use this one on my photos above, but you’re welcome to use if however you like.
You can download it HERE
Note: The free texture won’t have the butterfly or my logo. Hope you enjoy. 🙂
Thank you for linking up and have a great week-end.
