Who doesn’t love roses and a beautiful song to go along with it. I have no clue of the words, but it’s so pretty to listen to.

Sharing the background texture that this graphic is on, and you can download it HERE without my Logo
Hope you enjoyed your journey through my photography patch,

This graphic is taken from one of my flowers that I planted this Spring. Using this photo:
and the extraction tool, I removed the flower and made it a .png file. Then I used the filters to adjust the flower more to my liking. I then opened a background texture and dragged the extracted flower onto the texture arranging it how I liked.
Hopefully you can see in the photo above, the extraction tool causes marching ants to be around the part that I want extracted (I call them marching ants..not sure correct term :)). Once you have those, you can right-click and select invert and do the drop down box to new document and then you will have this as a .png. This can then be dragged to any texture, background or wherever you want.
Once I had it dragged to my background texture (one that I found at Kristy’s Life in Reflection), I then used some brushes to add to the background texture.
Hope you enjoyed my Ruby Red Flower extraction tutorial. Would love to hear from you. Have a great rest of the week.

I was so glad to see this Monarch Butterfly stopping for some livelihood. Monarchs have been scarce around here lately so was fun to see their return, and I’ll hate to see them go when the winter months arrive.

Sharing one of my painted textures. I used this one behind the butterfly picture above. You can download it HERE without my logo. I hope you enjoy using it.
Would love to see how you use it in one of your photos by linking up with Pictorial Friday.
Note: the ribbon on my framed photo is from French Kiss Collections. She makes lovely textures and other items. If you subscribe, she does have some freebies.
Our son and daughter-in-law took us out on their boat for a ride on a beautiful, fall-like day. The air was warm, and just breezy enough. So naturally, I had to take along my camera.
The leaves are just beginning to turn so got couple shots of the trees around the reservoir.
Then they treated me and hubby to lunch. Best kind of day when can spend it with the kids. 🙂
The photos, the only touch up that I did was to enhance them some in the Adobe Photoshop program. I use Elements 12.
Look forward to your sharing of some of the fun photography you took this week or just whenever. Always fun to see what others are shooting.

My Fall Leaf Frame…
Sharing a Leaf Clipping Mask that you add a picture too and use as is or add to a photo or however you choose. I created it in Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 from a photo of a leaf, but should be able to use in other versions of Adobe and hopefully other programs.
The download is HERE
Just add your photo and then drag it below the leaf frame layer and it should automatically be displayed under the leaf cutout. Enjoy, and I would love to have you share in comments or on your linkup how you used this, but if not, that’s okay too. You can use however you like, credit given would be nice, but not necessary.
Below is example of how I used the leaf:
Most already know how to do a clipping mask, but thought I’d share below an example for those that are new to clipping masks.

The internet is all kinds of fun with people who share their talents. The Coffee Shop Blog, which I follow has a great tutorial for adding snow, and she gave a link to a generous gal who also shared how to make a snow brush in Adobe Photoshop. Her tutorial is at Fstoppers or you can click this link https://fstoppers.com/video/how-make-snow-photoshop-custom-brushes-8158.
Rita at The Coffee Shop Blog also shares her snow brush as a download. I played with making my own brush settings for the snow on this picture of my grandson when we visited California last year using the directions from Fstoppers page. Thought it would be fun to make snow in California. 🙂 He was wearing a coat because when we visited, it was rainy and chilly…go figure, we left Ohio chilly and took, I guess, our chilly weather with us. But the beauty of California chilly was that by mid morning it had warmed enough to ditch the jackets. Loved it there.
The photo below I changed to Black and White to share over at Black and White Wednesdays. Give a visit there to see what others are doing with their Black and White photos.
Enjoy and leave a comment so I know you visited…even if you only say Hello.
A quote from Me:
If you like my quote brush, you can download it HERE without my initials.
Today is Veteran’s Day so I say ‘Thank You’ to all Veterans that I may enjoy the freedom to be here today writing this blog post. You are thought of, appreciated, and admired for all you have done now and in the past. Hope you enjoy your day.
R.I.P. also to those who gave their life so bravely.
