And So It Began

mark chapter 4

March starts the book of St. Mark. Today was Chapter 4 in my reading through the Bible.

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare they way before thee. Mark 1:1-2

The book of St. Mark begins with John The Baptist (son of Zacharias and Elizabeth – cousin of Mary) baptizing Jesus.

And there came a voice from heaven, saying. Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.St (Mark 1:11)

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?  Mark 4:39-40 KJV

Journaling Bible

Still reading through the Bible, and enjoying the Journaling through the Bible. Now doing it on the pages of my Note Takers Bible. Some use an actual Journaling Bible that are one column and have a wider margin, but for now, I found this one locally with a price I could afford. 🙂

Love all that I’ve been learning about the different mediums for doing the journaling like the Gelatos, Watercolor Pencils, Embossing, etc. and my favorite is the glitter tubes that you find for about 99 cents at WalMart. They work great.

The reading for March is Mark if anyone wants to follow along. I’ll be journaling the scriptures, and if you read along in Mark, any comments would be fun to get your point of view on the Scripture as we head into the Resurrection.

Some of my journaling pages below:

This one below I did using some freebies from friends in a Facebook Group for Digital Journaling. The Doodles you can find on Tara’s site and the background is from Bernadette. The fence and scripture and element, I added.

Love with B and T elements

This one below, I created for a theme of creation in the His Kingdom Come site. Wouldn’t it be fun to receive such an invitation to explore the beginnings with God and have him tour you through to the cross?

These are the tags that I’ve made so far for the ‘I AM’ theme with HKC.

Hope you enjoyed my bit of journaling that I’ve been working on. Hope you can stop back for the book of Mark.

Weep

I weep not with shabby girl

I’m in various Bible Journaling/Bible Reading groups that do such great scrapbook and/or digital pages. They do such great drawings so I’m dipping my pencil (as you might say) onto the canvas page to see if I can even draw more than a stick figure. So far, I’ve tried a couple of gals since I see lots of those used in pages. This one is my weeping girl since I was going for the eyes closed, and I wanted to add a quote (from me) about her weeping.

Hope you like it, and hopefully you’re not laughing too loudly at my first attempt at drawing a girl. I know…the pencil marks are messy. Will work on that. 🙂

Happy Wednesday,

It’s a sad world this week so I guess my gal could be weeping of sadness also, but we continue on with prayers to Paris and Jesus’ steady promises to guide.

Thanks for stopping by,

Peabea

You also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth,
the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.

Journaling

My reading group took a break, and we don’t continue until next week when we’ll begin Numbers, but I don’t take a break from reading because I know me, and I’d most likely just laze it up, and I don’t want to get out of the habit of reading daily. So, I’m continuing with Romans and other scriptures. Here’s mine for today’s reading. Enjoy.

Still trying to fit in some fishing days before the weather turns totally against us:

Some fishing scenery:

Not wanting to take my expensive camera on the boat, I used a small digital camera that I found at a thrift shop for $5.00 on this one. Not too bad.

I caught the most fish, but he takes off the catfish for me. Tried for Crappie, but no luck, just some bait stealers.

Next time, I’ll take a picture of the fish, but hubby wouldn’t get the camera, and I was busy catching all the fish. ~smiles~
