Love Goes Out The Door

It’s dark now, the kids have gone. As I look around the room, remnants remain of evidence they came~ toys lay on the floor that won’t be played with anymore.

Kids grow, they move away, but now and then they come again.

The rooms lighten up again with laughter and busyness. Toys are brought out for grandbabies to play, the giggles are delightful.

Time is up, bags are packed and off they go again ~ taking with them our hugs and well wishes.

If only kids could stay, but they’ve grown and must go on their way to the adult life they’ve made.

We smile with pride as our Love goes out the door.

Digiscraping for Valentine’s Day

Love was in the air everywhere…well maybe not everywhere. But, hopefully, all enjoyed their day.

I love trying my hand at making digital graphics using Adobe Photoshop Elements, so this was the end result for my Valentine greeting.

My daughter’s family treated me with a lovely planter, as well as one of my favorites – malted milkballs, and some (c)Ferrero chocolates.

As you can tell, it didn’t take long to finish off the chocolates, but they were delish.

Have a good week.

Just Breathe

John 15 15 16

Happy Friday, and Just Breathe and have an Enjoyable week-end.

Ye have not Chosen me, but I have Chosen you.

I Am Chosen
I Am Forgiven
I Am Created in God’s Image ~
to me that statement means not physical attributes, but created in his Image.
And the Image that I perceive of God is not nationality, or whether he has long hair, short hair, tall/thin, blonde, brunette.
Actually, I perceive him as a non-distinct Spirit that surrounds with loving kindness…and one who loves and only wants the best for his children

Others may see him differently, but no matter how you perceive God, just know that you are Chosen and you are Loved. And the only requirement that was left with us was to

Love One Another as I have Loved you’

And what wisdom that is because LOVE covers all ills.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great week-end,

Scripture & A Snapshot

Advent ~LOVE~

We are in week two of Advent. Cannot believe how fast we have arrived to the month of December, let alone Christmas is only another week and few days away. Plus, this week the weather here in Ohio may reach 70 by the week-end? I’ll take it. Let’s me feel like I might be spending Christmas in California with my kids or somewhere South. lol However, the colder weather has promised to return next week. brrrrrrrrrrrr

This week as I share along with His Kingdom Come’s Advent, the theme is Love. God sent his son to forgive, and also to know that he wasn’t changing the commandments, but to add ‘LOVE ONE ANOTHER’. Wow, that doesn’t seem so hard now does it? But with the way things are lately, sometimes I wonder. My human nature sometimes just doesn’t feel much Love. I was taught that you never Hate, and if you even said that word when I was growing up, I probably found my mother in my face reminding me, we don’t hate. So when I’m not feeling much Love, I’m reminded by Scripture as well as my mom’s voice in my head. 🙂

I especially Love the season of Christmas or as some prefer the Holiday season because it does seem Love is more prevalent. Maybe because during this time, perhaps just perhaps, Jesus comes down just a bit further to be with us and spread the feeling of Love so that it generates from within us just a bit more than usual. After all, it is his Birthday so he might just want to feel a bit closer to his presents (us), and have us feel a bit closer to the giver of the present (God). I don’t know why, but I’ll just take the smiles as they come, the excuse me when shoved in a shopping line, or the warm Hello that people share at this time of year before we head back into the reality of January and a New Year approaching.

My page day 11, 10, 9 and 8 of LOVE Advent week:

Day 11 When Love Was Born

Day 10 Come Let Us Adore Him

Blessings, ~hugs ‘n giggles~

Weep

I weep not with shabby girl

I’m in various Bible Journaling/Bible Reading groups that do such great scrapbook and/or digital pages. They do such great drawings so I’m dipping my pencil (as you might say) onto the canvas page to see if I can even draw more than a stick figure. So far, I’ve tried a couple of gals since I see lots of those used in pages. This one is my weeping girl since I was going for the eyes closed, and I wanted to add a quote (from me) about her weeping.

Hope you like it, and hopefully you’re not laughing too loudly at my first attempt at drawing a girl. I know…the pencil marks are messy. Will work on that. 🙂

Happy Wednesday,

It’s a sad world this week so I guess my gal could be weeping of sadness also, but we continue on with prayers to Paris and Jesus’ steady promises to guide.

Thanks for stopping by,

the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.

Song of Solomon

Song of Solomon

On the journey with Christ and reading his word, we just finished Song of Solomon. It was an interesting read.

Song of Solomon is a song of wooing of Solomon and marriage to a shepherdess girl named Shulamite. The joys and heartaches of wedded love.

Hosea 2:19-20 depicts it as the Church as the bride of Christ.

Hosea 19
And I will betroth thee unto me forever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.

Hosea 20
I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD.

In the song, they shower each other with love and makes them feel loved and the only special one. He sings that she is most beautiful to him. She sings he is most beautiful to her.

Song of Solomon is a great reminder of how marriage and wedded love can be.

Excerpt from the Bible KJV:

The Song of Solomon is a love song written by Solomon and abounding in metaphors and oriental imagery. Historically, it depicts the wooing and wedding to a shepherdess by King Solomon, and the joys and heartaches of wedded love.

Allegorically, it pictures Israel as God’s betrothed bride (Hos. 2:19-20) and the church as the bride of Christ. As human life finds its highest fulfillment in the love of man and woman, so spiritual life finds its highest fulfillment in the love of God for His people and Christ for His church.

The book is arranged like scenes in a drama with three main speakers: the bride Shulamite), the King (Solomon), and a chorus (daughters of Jerusalem).

God Gave Me A Rose

Rose Poem by Trabonet aka Peabea

A poem I wrote under the name of Trabonet in early 2000. When enjoying my rose bushes and messing with them, this poem came to mind because of always getting jabbed by those thorns when I’d try to cut them for putting in a vase. It reminded me of how we should treat a love one or how to treat children (especially as they struggle in their teenage years, and we adjust to how to mentor to their needs). We hold too tight and sometimes children push back.

Live

flowers on purple frame Live Each Day graphic

Live each day to the fullest. Get the most from each hour, each day, and each age of your life. Then you can look forward with confidence, and back without regrets. Be yourself ~ but be your best self. Dare to be different and to follow your own star. And don’t be afraid to be happy. Enjoy what is beautiful. Love with all your heart and soul. Believe that those you love, love you. Forget what you have done for your friends and remember what they have done for you. Disregard what the world owes you, and concentrate on what you owe the world.

When you are faced with a decision, make that decision as wisely as possible ~ then forget it. The moment of absolute certainty never arrives.

Above all, remember that GOD helps those who help themselves. Act as if everything depended upon you, and pray as if everything depended upon GOD.
