First time ever being in California and seeing the Pacific Ocean. The grandson and daughter walked down to the beach and then climbed up on the cliffs. We had a great trip. This photo has been textured with Kim’s kk_waterfront 28 to share with Texture Tuesday. The rest are just SOC scenery photos. Loved getting to visit the West Coast. 🙂
Reading the comments people leave so I know I’ve had visitors make my day and are always appreciated even if you just say hello. Thanks… ❤
After a divorce our son had to move back home for a bit. While here, he purchased bulbs and planted these Lilies. They have multiplied over the years and are getting so tall. Every Spring it is a delight to watch them finally open up to reveal their amazingly beautiful red color. He couldn’t have picked a better color as it is one of my favorites. That son has since remarried and moved to California, but my eyes love looking at him through these flowers each year. I miss him, but what a great reminder of the wonderful man (son) he has turned out to be. Such a loving heart.
I did transplant some of the bulbs early this Spring and was glad to see they have also made it and are blooming.
Applied Mona’s free texture called Muse and left it as ‘normal’, and then I drew an elliptical and manipulated it so that my tulip flower shows through opening in the elliptical. This was accomplished by making the elliptical a new layer with a layer mask.

Or maybe he’s just resting after an afternoon romp up and down the electric wires, tree tops or house roofs. Whichever it may be, I was able to snap of picture of him when he flopped down on the branch of the tree and lay there quite a while. Then off he ran again.
They have created a walking path along what use to be railroad tracks that went through our town. The walking path begins at the edge of our town and has been transformed into a Nature Preserve as well. Once it is completed, the walking path will continue to the next small town (if you’re able since it is about 7-10 miles).
The railroad has long ago been taken away, but sometimes you can see what remains of the bed and some ties remain. There are birdhouses that have been constructed along the way, and this little fellow was flying in to deliver feeding time to its babies.
Also, along our walk we saw many pretty flowers among the weeds. Below are just a few.
What’s left of one of the railroad bridges.
Hope you will venture over to see what others are sharing for the Nature Texture Tuesday.
Enjoy!! and thanks so much for visiting me. I love comments and do read them all so please drop a word or two so I know you were here. Thanks.
Sharing with Floral Love a picture of this gorgeous planter of Petunias that my oldest son and family brought me on Mother’s Day among other presents. I used one of Mona’s textures ~ 04 Angelic Aqua and applied the picture on top of it rather than blending since I thought it made a great frame.
Give a visit over at Mona’s Picturesque to see what lovely flowers others are sharing for this Wednesday meme. 🙂
Enjoy and thanks for stopping by my Photography Patch.
Remember as kids when the Dandelions’ yellow turned to these Puff-Balls as we called them, and we’d make a wish and Poof ~ blow them off in the wind?
And of course remember the jokes kids loved to tell- “What’s black and white and red all over?” (the newspaper..hahahahaha) The grandson recently bought a book of jokes and was having so much fun reading some of them to me. It brought back memories of the easy life and fun of a kid again and all the space out in front to look forward. I’d forgotten most of those kid’s jokes.
My original photo before it was textured with Kim’s kk_stamped softly
