AH!!!! SPRING

Spring is springing, and just in time. Yay! The boredom is beyond boring now with all the Covid stay away and stay home. At least soon we can be outside getting ready for flowers, distancing cook outs, and seeing some long lost friends that had to also hibernate. Thankfully, the vaccination will make that easier than before.

I’ve procrastinated and never planted perennials, and always do annuals. Now that I’ve aged, I wish I’d done the perennials. I definitely have never been one for a great flower garden. Lazy, I guess, but do enjoy a few flowers in the planters my husband made me. Which do you plant?

Mowing will start soon, and will be great reason to be outside getting some of that Vitamin D that has been missing. I’m more than ready and looking forward.

What’s going on in your neck of the world? Is Spring springing where you are?

Ah…Spring ~ well almost

Purple

The calendar says Spring, but the weather seems more like heading into winter. We had frost, freezing temperatures, and snow (wee tiny) but it was snow falling this past week. Brrrrrr….it’s still chilly in the Ohio area where I live.

I have decided since these old legs and knees don’t really like bending for long that I’m giving up a flower bed that needs weeding. Plus, I really am not that crazy about taking care of one after all these years. I did keep a bit of a one in the front, but the other now has stones and will have flower pots adorning them. Less weeding and maintenance.

The purple above is one of the new flowers for this season.

Another new flower for the 2015 season (in a planter). Kind of scraggly but we’ll see how some Miracle Grow helps them along this season.

Below is some Bachelor Buttons and flowers from last summer textured with kk_avery that I’m using for this week’s Texture Tuesday.

Bachelor Buttons on table for TT

As I’m reading through the Bible this year (I’ve always believed and read excerpts here and there or listened to sermons in Church, but have never completely read the Bible), I am amazed at what the LORD is revealing to me now that I’m taking the time to actually sit down and visit with his word daily. Some is about me as a person and some changes that I need to reflect on, which can be a hard pill to digest at times, and some on how much he can be depended upon to help in all situations.

Have a Blessed Sunday, and thanks for visiting.

Comments are adored and I read them all so please drop a scribble of your day or just say hi.

Love From The Son

First Lilly 2014 for FL

After a divorce our son had to move back home for a bit. While here, he purchased bulbs and planted these Lilies. They have multiplied over the years and are getting so tall. Every Spring it is a delight to watch them finally open up to reveal their amazingly beautiful red color. He couldn’t have picked a better color as it is one of my favorites. That son has since remarried and moved to California, but my eyes love looking at him through these flowers each year. I miss him, but what a great reminder of the wonderful man (son) he has turned out to be. Such a loving heart.

I did transplant some of the bulbs early this Spring and was glad to see they have also made it and are blooming.

Sharing my first Lily Bloom of 2014 with Floral Love.

I ran an action from The Coffee Shop Blog called Coffee Shop Art Gallery, and used a free texture from Pixabay that Rita at the Coffee Shop also shared a link to on her site, and you can find the texture here http://pixabay.com/en/texture-artisan-acrylic-traditional-319740/.

The frame is one that comes loaded with Adobe Photoshop IE.

Thanks for visiting.

I’m also sharing one of my free textures that I make. You can download it HERE without my Logo watermark or just click the photo below.
