Love From The Son

First Lilly 2014 for FL

After a divorce our son had to move back home for a bit. While here, he purchased bulbs and planted these Lilies. They have multiplied over the years and are getting so tall. Every Spring it is a delight to watch them finally open up to reveal their amazingly beautiful red color. He couldn’t have picked a better color as it is one of my favorites. That son has since remarried and moved to California, but my eyes love looking at him through these flowers each year. I miss him, but what a great reminder of the wonderful man (son) he has turned out to be. Such a loving heart.

I did transplant some of the bulbs early this Spring and was glad to see they have also made it and are blooming.

Sharing my first Lily Bloom of 2014 with Floral Love.

I ran an action from The Coffee Shop Blog called Coffee Shop Art Gallery, and used a free texture from Pixabay that Rita at the Coffee Shop also shared a link to on her site, and you can find the texture here http://pixabay.com/en/texture-artisan-acrylic-traditional-319740/.

The frame is one that comes loaded with Adobe Photoshop IE.

Thanks for visiting.

I’m also sharing one of my free textures that I make. You can download it HERE without my Logo watermark or just click the photo below.

Tea quote

As we head into the Holiday Season of Thanksgiving, it’s always a time for remembering all our thankfulness.

Give thanks to the Lord,
Call on his name;
Make known among the nations what he has done.

1 Chronicles 16:8

Or perhaps a cup of Tea on a Winter’s Morn.

As you can see, I’m already missing my summertime flowers so guess the fake ones will have to do until Springtime rolls around again. 🙂

What I’m up to:

  • During this month of November, I’m doing a Bible Study of Thanksgiving that is online with GoodMorningGirls.org. It just started on November 11th so there’s still time to grab their study materials and join in.
  • I’m also working on getting together to share a Peabea’s Photography and Craft Patch Potpourri Photography Challenge meme. I enjoy visiting and sharing with other Photography meme’s each week so thought I’d start one as well.  But more on that later. 🙂
  • Just finished reading The Book Thief. My book reviews that need updated are on my writing site at peabea.net

Some freebies I’ve encountered along the way as I peruse the web and fun sites to check out that you might like.

Sister Plant

iris-flower-outofbounds

Stopped by my sister’s, and since I pretty much killed all my flowers from last summer, she gave me a few. Thought this blue one was so pretty so I’m hoping I don’t kill it.

{I am not a ‘green thumb’ type person.}  851586_126361877548609_1351776047_n

Decided to take a picture in case the poor thing doesn’t make it once I transplanted it, and I used the ‘out of bounds’ that is on the photo program.

This is a neat action that is shared by The Coffee Shop Blog, and as she says if you needed an idea for colors for paint, etc. this Action would be a great way to choose your colors. I selected the pictures from this picture for the color bar on the side.

Babies have left

I will now have my hose back. The longest part was mama sitting on the eggs before they finally hatched. They were bulging out of that small nest and by yesterday, they had all flown.

Hope you enjoyed the saga of the Mama Robin and Spring at our house.

Baby Robins are Born

If you followed my other post about the nest on my hose hanger, the babies are finally here. Mommy Robin has faithfully sat on those 4 eggs, and now has four babies. Finally, she got off long enough so I could capture this picture. Maybe I can get a video or other photos of her feeding the babies.

I’m just hoping they can fly away soon and I can have the use of my hose now that it’s Spring and things need hosed down. ~smiles~

Loving that Spring has arrived and the warmer mornings. Nothing like early morning sunrise and a fresh brewed cup of coffee or brewed tea.

Miss Robin has decided to favor us with a nest of eggs on our hose hanger…bad part is now that Spring has arrived and I like to clean off the patio and other uses for the hose…it is otherwise occupied for a bit. Not to fear though, we have another hose out front to use or to attach on the back, but really not wanting to disturb Miss Robin. This picture has two eggs (a beautiful blue in color), but she is now sitting on 4 eggs and won’t stay off the nest long enough for me to get another picture. I also used this picture for my April 30th Texture Tuesday (found at my other website http://peabea.net)

Texture Tuesday 4-2-13

let the bubble fun begin for TT

For Texture Tuesday that I’ll be posting on Kim Klassen’s site, I decided to use my photo of the bubbles that grandbabykins was blowing Easter week-end. This week’s was a free and easy texture. All you needed was to use one of her textures applied to your photograph. I applied her happyheart texture that can be found for free on her site, applied text, and some flower brushes.

Enjoy and please check out the other offerings on her site texturetuesdaysbutton..and as always, love when you leave comments or feel free to critique my photo.

Thanks and Happy Tuesday

I like raw out of the camera mostly. Grandbabykins was playing with bubbles since it is starting to turn warm and there was just enough wind that it blew the bubbles for him without even having to wave the bubble wand. Enjoy!! and as always, love when you leave a comment on here to say hi!!

Happy Spring and Easter,
