Another Bachelor

Bachelor with kkflow n Earl watercolor for TT bw

Sharing with Texture Tuesday and Texture Twist. Layered with kk_flow then moved the picture onto Earl’s watercolor texture/background with a bevel frame. Applied kk_canvasbackmagic with saturation which turned it to black and white and then I colored the bachelor button flower back in. (Earl has many wonderful tutorials and lots of fun ideas/tips on his site so give him a visit at http://earkdesign2.com)

Happy Tuesday, have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

I’ve received my first postcards since joining Postcrossing. So far I’ve sent out 11 postcards and received 4 with more on the way to me. I’m one to still enjoy receiving mail, and so far looks like a fun idea. So far I’ve received a card from Israel, United Kingdom, Brussels, Spokane, and Mother Hen’s from Oregon.

Plus this wonderful card from the lady (Mother Hen) whose blog I found and she told me about Postcrossing. See her card below. Thanks Mother Hen for the tip and the beautiful card from your state.

No rest for the weary

I have a blister, knees are sore but the porch is STAINED. Bout time after a few years of weathering. Sometimes Summer is tiring because the weather allows to get those jobs done that can’t be in the winter time. Fall will be house paint trimming and garage painting. Bah!! I’m tired already.

Plus, I bought a drill bit and learned how to cut a hole in a glass bottle to insert those little mini lights. Yet to insert the mini lights, but here is picture of the hole. hahaha

Have a great week and stay cool. Weather here has been very hot and humid this week, but going back down by the week-end in Ohio to cooler weather.

Lounging

Lounging-squirrel in tree

Or maybe he’s just resting after an afternoon romp up and down the electric wires, tree tops or house roofs. Whichever it may be, I was able to snap of picture of him when he flopped down on the branch of the tree and lay there quite a while. Then off he ran again.

Textured with kk_waterfront for sharing over at Texture Tuesday. 🙂

Enjoy!!

Tea quote

As we head into the Holiday Season of Thanksgiving, it’s always a time for remembering all our thankfulness.

Give thanks to the Lord,
Call on his name;
Make known among the nations what he has done.

1 Chronicles 16:8

Or perhaps a cup of Tea on a Winter’s Morn.

As you can see, I’m already missing my summertime flowers so guess the fake ones will have to do until Springtime rolls around again. 🙂

What I’m up to:

  • During this month of November, I’m doing a Bible Study of Thanksgiving that is online with GoodMorningGirls.org. It just started on November 11th so there’s still time to grab their study materials and join in.
  • I’m also working on getting together to share a Peabea’s Photography and Craft Patch Potpourri Photography Challenge meme. I enjoy visiting and sharing with other Photography meme’s each week so thought I’d start one as well.  But more on that later. 🙂
  • Just finished reading The Book Thief. My book reviews that need updated are on my writing site at peabea.net

Some freebies I’ve encountered along the way as I peruse the web and fun sites to check out that you might like.

Perseverance

hens chicks TT copy

Such a hardy, interesting plant/flower. At the end of last Summer, by mistake, I sprayed all my flowers with weed killer thinking I was spraying insect killer. Some of the plants, I wasn’t so concerned about since they were annuals anyway, but I’d had these plants for quite a few years when a co-worker friend gave me a start, and I was sure they were done. The looked really sick, and even this Spring they looked not so great, but little by little, they came came back.

Just like people, you can’t keep a good, hardy person down. They’ll perk back up after a fall even if it takes a bit to recover. I know some people that are like that. You think they’re defeated for sure, but they just keep going, and they keep going with a good heart and spirit.

Sharing with Texture Tuesday . I edited my picture with Kim Klassen’s golden texture.

Choice

choice for quotography

Always love that time of day when everything is settling down on a Summer’s eve. It seems to soothe my soul, make me reflect on life’s offerings and the things I take for granted that are truly gifts from God. Nothing more beautiful than a gift of a beautiful sunset, a child’s laughter as he chases lightening bugs, or even the soft sound of his breathing after a bedtime story.

The Choice is ours whether to take the time to ponder and appreciate.

Sharing my latest ~Top ‘O The Morning~ graphic with Tuesday Muse. I layered it with my pb_choco texture and added a picture of one of my coffee mugs. Original is below.

If you would like the graphic, you can get it HERE without my watermark.

Download for the pb_choco texture is HERE

Thanks, hope you enjoy and have a great day no matter what you’re drinking. I’m a coffee in the morning type person, and maybe some Cranberry Blood Orange Tea once in a while. Especially love Iced Tea with fresh sliced oranges on a hot Summer afternoon.

Cheers!!!

Quotography ~ SUNSHINE

Sunshine by Peabea Texture Tuesday

Some that have visited said they couldn’t read my poem so I’ve added the words below.

The Warmth

The Nature of your Love

Warms me as no other

Rays of Sunshine

Your hug

Your arms embrace

Encompasses my Happiness

And assures me I am Safe

 I dream of your Face

As I soak up the Sun

And await once more The Warmth of your Hug

By Peabea

This photo that I took at the end of last Summer was the one I decided to use for my first time submitting to Quotography because the field of flowers seemed a perfect place to be soaking up the Sunshine among all the colorful flowers.  Since I didn’t find a quote that I liked to go with my picture, I added my own Poem, and hopefully each part can be taken as a quote on its own.

I used Kim Klassen’s KK_May texture for sharing with Texture Tuesday.

I love sharing my crafts in The Patch, but would also love to have some Guest Crafters share theirs. If anyone has a craft they would share, I’d love to feature you on my site and share with others including my Facebook Friends. Please let me know in the comment form below. ~Thanks-a-bunch~
