Shadows In The Snow

Shadows In The Snow for Pixel Dust

Playing with taking a photo and adding texture to make it photo art to share with Pixel Dust Photo Art for February (theme is to be geometric angles so not sure this is but only angles in a picture that I have at the moment). Thought I’d also share with this week’s Texture Tuesday.

I applied the Old World Charm texture from Pixel Dust and then using my brush, brushed back in the trees and shadows. After I had it like I wanted, I then applied Kim’s kk_2003.

Give a visit to Texture Tuesday and enjoy all that other photographers have shared for this week.

  2. This really caught my eye … we have had so much snow and on one of our rare sunny days, I noticed that there were shadows of the birds flying by on my deck. I tried to take pictures, but with little luck because they flit by so quickly. I should do like you and look for a more stable subject, like a tree or a house. Your texture effects are delight ful and I really enjoyed this picture.

  3. Great artistic choices in your editing! I think the cropping also adds to the artistry. So pleased you are sharing your work with Photo Art Friday!!!

  4. You did a great job with your piece. The texture works so well and I love that you added back just enough of the trees and their shadows to create a very interesting look. I like it very much.

  5. How did I miss you on Texture Tuesday?! I’m so sorry! This is a great treatment and really dressed up the original shot very nicely. I just love to see the sunrise on snow. It makes everything sparkle.

  6. Wow! I love what you did with this, what a transformation. LOVE the new piece of art you have created. 🙂

  7. What a fine edit job. The change in the photo is amazing. I like how abstract the first photo turned out. It took me a moment to realize there’s a building in the photo!

    1. Thanks Pride…having fun trying it since I happened upon Pixel Dust’s website. She has some lovely textures there also. Glad you stopped by. 🙂
